Company Overview
Automation Engineering & Controls was formed in June 2019 by six individuals from within the Automotive and Service sectors, with the aim of providing affordable automation for all, without compromising on technological levels or techniques.
With a wealth of maintenance and engineering management experience, we understand how hard it is to find multiple engineering support elements and functions from one supplier, without cost becoming a factor.
We pride ourselves on being able to adapt to the customer requirements as well as being able to suggest alternative methods and solutions where appropriate.
We currently work within, Automotive, Food, Construction and Defence sectors and we are
confident we can support your requirements.

Our Founders
Stuart Dunn
Managing Director
Stuart’s engineering career started back in 1999. Stuart is mechanically and electrically qualified with over 14 years of management experience within the robotics and plant management.
Andrew Hall
Automation Director
Andy is a qualified metallurgist and is an experienced robotics technician. He is fully conversant with Siemens, Omron and Mitsubishi systems and is a software specialist for AEC.
Paul Mears
Process Director
Paul has a wealth of experience in manufacturing engineering and has supported large projects including BMW and JLR. He is skilled in process design and optimisation which led him to AEC.
Michael Read
Commercial Director
Mike has over 20 years experience in the manufacturing and automation industry having managed a varied portfolio of both small and large organisations. He’s expertise is in customer relations and account management.
Keith Jones
Compliance Director
Keith has over 30 years experience in managing assembly maintenance teams and progressing to senior controls engineer. He is key in process safety and its design for AEC.
Neil Bull
Engineering Director
Neil is a qualified electrical engineer, a Siemens professional and has a vast set of skills including hydraulics and pneumatics. He has also delivered on numerous installation projects.
